Saratoga.com Hits Over 1 Million Visits In July

Saratoga Springs NY, August 7, 2012Saratoga.com reached its 10 year anniversary on August 4, but those who run the site weren’t celebrating that milestone this past weekend. They were celebrating a different milestone.

For the first time in its decade-long history, Saratoga.com reached over one million visits in a single month – and just days before its 10th birthday. July brought record traffic to Saratoga.com, which serves as an online guide to the Saratoga region.

“This is a giant milestone for Saratoga.com,” said Sara Mannix, Founder and CEO of Saratoga.com’s parent company Mannix Marketing, Inc. “Saratoga is a hot market, and it’s amazing how many people are going online to plan their fun.

Whether at home or on the go, visitors used Saratoga.com as their guide to summer fun this past month. Saratoga.com saw 1,072,767 visits from desktop users and more than 25,000 visits from mobile users for a combined total of over 1,097,000 visits in July. Over 720,000 of those were unique visitors; these individuals returned to the site more than once last month, leading to Saratoga.com’s record breaking traffic.

One of the most popular features of the site is the robust Saratoga events calendar with all the latest happenings updated daily, from theater and gala events to concerts, nightlife and more. The site attracts visitors planning their vacations, looking for things to do as well as places to stay, eat and shop. But the site also has a huge local following (nearly 50% of users are from the Capital Region), and they use the site to discover local news, watch videos, find movie show times, browse homes in the real estate section, find local businesses in the comprehensive business directory and enter giveaways.

With racing season underway and the Saratoga area being a popular summer hot spot, it is clear to see why July brought a spike in traffic to Saratoga.com. Summer is not the only time Saratoga is on people’s minds, however. This past spring, from April through June, Saratoga.com averaged over 750,000 visits per month, and the site also sees high visits year round. Looking forward, August is on pace to follow the same trend as last month, and Saratoga.com is hopeful to reach this record traffic goal a second time this summer.
