We just learned that Facebook is going to be launching a new system this weekend that will let you reserve a Facebook username for your account or business page (if you have over 1,000 fans).

What does this mean?
Choosing a unique username means that you will automatically have that as your new facebook url to your page or profile. This will be a link that is much shorter and easier to remember.

Why is this important?
Usernames are given on a first-come, first-served basis, so you might want to reserve the one you want before someone else does! Also, choosing the right keywords can help your facebook page or profile get found more easily in the search engines.
