Mannix Marketing's "BEST" Awards

A Way To Recognize The DIY Efforts Of Our Clients

Internet marketing is a very complex, multi-faceted field and at times can seem overwhelming for do-it-yourself businesses. It's hard work and there are many ways to go wrong, but Mannix Marketing makes a point to recognize those of our clients who do it themselves... and do it well!

Each year, Mannix Marketing gives "BEST" awards to those of our clients who excel in a particular area of internet marketing, from online blogging to website design, social media marketing and more. These clients have successfully done the dirty work themselves, and we applaud them.

This year's winners are highlighted below...

Bedlam Farm

Jon Katz's Bedlam Farm Journal caught our eye because of the blog's incredible visual appeal and quality writing. Large, intriguing photos of the farm animals and surrounding landscape catch your eye immediately and draw you in. The descriptive text below each photo is more than a simple caption, but rather a short, creative narrative that gives you a glimpse into that piece of daily life on the farm.

McLaughlin/Griffin Photo

McLaughlin/Griffin Photography and Design has created a stunning Flash website that is very appropriate for a photography website. It features a large photo slideshow of some of their best work on a dark gray/black background with elegant text and no clutter. The navigation is clearly labeled, making it easy for browsers to find the information they are looking for from any page within the site. The text is also well written and convincing.

Saratoga Rose Inn

The Saratoga Rose Inn & Restuarant knows how to generate interest in their events and specials through regular e-newsletters to subscribers in their email club. The content is what really caught our attention when we reviewed their newsletters. The messages are very warm and friendly with a conversational tone, rather than a pushy, buy-now approach. And they offer great reasons to try out whatever specials or events the Saratoga Rose happens to have going on that month.

Six Sisters B&B

From the beginning of their website's inception, The Six Sisters Bed & Breakfast has done a phenomenal job building links to its website via link marketing. Their secret? Only linking to local websites that are truly high quality, meaningful and useful for their website visitors and not falling for any link marketing schemes! The benefit? Stronger placements in the search engines.

Impressions Of Saratoga

We've noticed Impressions Of Saratoga on Twitter, tweeting interesting facts, events and specials from time to time. What they do right is develop conversations with followers, rather than just marketing at them constantly. They use Twitter to give the shop a personal feel and offer information on area events, weather conditions, helpful links, company awards... you name it.
