Client Overview

The Fern Lodge is an Adirondack resort overlooking Friends Lake in Chestertown, NY. The inn was newly established at the time of this project, preparing to open for its first season. The owners of The Fern Lodge formerly owned Friends Lake Inn and had already established a long-time Internet marketing relationship with Mannix Marketing, Inc.

Since the business was new, it was an excellent opportunity to establish an identity for the inn online, as well as develop a site that offered a user experience that was inline with that of The Fern Lodge itself. With the season ready to begin, attracting immediate business was a challenge, and the competition within the search engines for lodging in the area was extremely strong.

• 3 for 'Adirondack hotel' out of 894,000 results
• 4 for 'lodging in Adirondacks'

Traffic Highlights

• 143% increase in unique visitors from September 2007 to September 2008
• 303% increase in referring sites from 2007 to 2008
