Advertising Sales Representative

Digital Marketing Strategist

Join an award-winning digital marketing company located in Upstate NY. The Digital Marketing Strategist  implements search engine optimization and inbound marketing programs, pay-per-click campaigns, social media strategies and content marketing to gain leads, traffic and website conversions for Mannix Marketing clients. This is a full time position and reports to the Director of Digital Marketing.

Responsibilities include a variety of duties such as:

  • Perform routine keyword research and analysis using free and paid keyword research tools
  • Perform copywriting and copyediting for Mannix Marketing clients and in-house portal websites
  • Implement SEO, PPC and social media marketing best practices
  • Generate unique content for clients based on their industry and target market
  • Set-up, monitor and manage social media accounts (Facebook Pages, Twitter Accounts, Google+ Pages and Google+ Local Pages, Pinterest Accounts, etc.)
  • Analyze clients’ website statistics and identify areas of opportunity
  • Create custom monthly reports that show clients the big picture
  • Perform competitive analysis and other research for client campaigns
  • Work directly and independently with clients to obtain stronger website traffic, higher placements within search engine results and gain strong, quality leads for the clients
  • Research and keep up to date on current digital marketing and search engine optimization trends and changes

The ideal candidate has both strong analytical and written skills. Can uphold deadlines, communicate efficiently and clearly, and can manage multiple projects at once. This position requires exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidates should be detail oriented with the ability to re-prioritize tasks as needed. Proficiency in WordPress / html preferred but not required.

Requirements:

  • BA from accredited college or university preferred
  • General or advanced knowledge of several areas of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) including but not limited to: Search Engine Optimization (SEO), inbound marketing, conversion rate optimization, keyword analysis, and pay per-click (PPC)
  • Knowledge of Social Media, including: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and others is a must
  • Knowledge of online tools: Google Analytics and HTML/CSS
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills  and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple ongoing tasks with changing priorities

Regional Digital Marketing Strategist

The Regional Digital Marketing Strategist implements content marketing, search engine optimization and pay-per-click campaigns to gain leads, traffic and website conversions for our popular regional guides, including LakeGeorge.com, Saratoga.com, Albany.com and Adirondack.net. This is a full time position, 40 hours per week, that reports to the Managing Editor. Ideal candidates will have 1 – 3 years experience in a digital marketing position, writing position, or similar field.

Responsibilities include a variety of duties:

  • Perform routine keyword research and analysis using free and paid keyword research tools
  • Implement SEO best practices, developing both on-site and off-site strategies for growth, and perform technical SEO site audits on an ongoing basis
  • Perform competitive analysis and other research
  • Analyze website statistics and identify areas of opportunity
  • Work within the Editorial calendar to generate unique regional content, based on the target market, coordinating efforts with our regional writers and Assistant Managing Editor
  • Work to obtain stronger website traffic – increasing site metrics such as page views and time on site.
  • Work to obtain higher placements within search engine results and gain strong, quality leads for our regional websites and the clients we promote.
  • Implement successful, high performing PPC campaigns as needed
  • Perform copywriting and copyediting for our in-house regional websites if needed
  • Coordinate strategies with and assist the Social Media Manager when needed
  • Foster a positive community spirit for locals, tourists, small businesses and nonprofits in the areas represented
  • Research and keep up to date on current digital marketing and search engine optimization trends and changes, updating internal teams on the latest industry trends as needed
  • Utilize project management and time tracking tools
  • Create custom monthly reports for management team
  • Administrative duties, including but not limited to:
    • Data entry / cross-checking for our admin system
    • Keep task list current, populated with notes and up to date
    • Weekly time clocking and tracking of projects and assignments

The ideal candidate will hold a BA in either English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or similar degree and have:

  • a general or advanced knowledge of SEO, CRO and PPC
  • a knowledge of the regions and local communities we write about
  • strong analytical skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • strong time management skills
  • ability to handle multiple ongoing tasks with changing priorities

Candidates should be detail oriented with the ability to re-prioritize tasks as needed. Proficiency in Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, WordPress and HTML/CSS preferred. Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment required. 1 to 3 years of marketing, online writing or computer information systems a plus. Knowledge and interest in using Social Media including: Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, LinkedIn and others is a plus.
