How just 1 Social Post increased restaurant’s takeout business in early days of Covid

Using the power of the local social Facebook page: Saratoga.com, Mannix Marketing used influencer marketing to give locals a reason to purchase while reminding them that they could still enjoy their favorite crepes and frites at home.

How do you market your restaurant when you can’t invite anyone inside? That is the reality that restaurants across the nation faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ravenous, a chef-run restaurant in Saratoga specializes in crepes and pomme frites. When New York State mandated all restaurants shift to take-out only, sales quickly dropped, and Ravenous turned to Mannix Marketing for ideas.

At this time, restaurants were just closed, we suggested take-out as we had read in the news about some restaurants shifting to take out.

The strategic post tapped into the emotion of missing some of Ravenous’ favorite foods, and a reason to purchase their takeout by offering 15% off.

The link for online ordering was prominently featured in two spots. The visual reinforced the restaurant’s great staff and their loyal and happy customers.  Previous diners were quick to comment with their support, attesting to the quality of the food. This attracted new customers who were excited to try Ravenous for the first time.  After the promotion, Ravenous saw a major spike in takeout orders and business.
