How To Use Video For Offline Marketing

Did you ever think to use video in your offline marketing? Here is one innovative tip for offline video marketing that just might blow your mind. This is the kind of post that makes you ask, “Why didn’t I think of that?”

Use That Wasted Space!

Do you have a lobby area, waiting area or window space that has a lot of traffic? If so, you might want to turn that space into selling space for your product or service. By adding a video screen, you can entertain and sell to your visitors through video that loops and plays continuously on the screen.

Recently, during a trip to London, we passed upscale shops that were closed for the evening but had spectacular motion video of models showing off the product on a runway. This turned what would normally have been a very small window area to display one or two outfits on mannequins into a mesmerizing showcase of hundreds of outfits.

Example

This is obviously not the video we saw in the London store window, but it gives you an idea of the type of video that can be effective in such a situation.

Got Video?

If you’ve invested in video for online marketing, you might want to get even more for your money and think about how it can be used offline as well.

Don’t have video yet? You can choose a cost effective photo slideshow video. This is ideal as it’s a “quiet video” and has no narration. It’s simply a slideshow of business or product photos with copy that defines your unique selling points and the features of your product or business. For this type of video you will need high quality resolution photos.

Or as the retail stores in London do, you can show the product or service visually with motion graphics.
